We are currently working to open our first orphanage in India for 50 girls!
All 50 girls will attend school, along with receiving their own school supplies. In a country where over 60% of girls drop out of school, education will help them thrive.
After construction, the local community will sustain our orphanage. NGOs (Non Government Organizations) in the surrounding community are eager to give back to the most vulnerable children in their region. Also, a water well onsite will guarantee safe drinking water to the kids.
In the orphanage, each girl will have her own bed and cubby area. The kids will live with a set of house parents, who become part of their family.
To be a girl in India comes with disadvantages. 50 million women and girls are missing from India's population due to gendercide, the tragic killing of newborn girls. We are proving to these girls that their lives are valued.

In 2015, we provided school supplies to all 52 children who attend a school a few kilometers outside of New Delhi. This school educates the children of migrant workers - these kids would otherwise be roaming the streets alone during the day.
